A Beloved Hermosa Beach Family Needs Us Now! Help the Fredrickson Family Through Danielle’s Cancer Battle
Danielle Fredrickson, a devoted wife to Jared, loving mom to Parker and Tanner, cherished daughter, sister, aunt, and a bright light in the South Bay community, has been diagnosed with a high-grade glioblastoma, an aggressive and serious form of brain cancer located in a critical area of her brain.
In an instant, on a beautiful sunny California day, the whole families life changed. After a morning walk on the strand, Danielle felt a small headache, that quickly turned into a nightmare when she suffered a surprise seizure at their home while with her boys. Her two sons, Parker and Tanner, jumped into action like true heroes, drawing on their training from the LA County Junior Lifeguard program, they called 911 and stayed by her side until help arrived. That terrifying moment marked the beginning of a battle no family ever wants to face.
Danielle’s fight is going to be a challenging one and her boys need their mom. She will potentially face major surgeries while being awake to remove as much of the tumors as possible, plus weeks of radiation, chemo, and ongoing care. Because of the seizure, she’s also not cleared to drive for the foreseeable future, making it even harder to get to treatment appointments and keep life feeling normal for the kids.
As Danielle fights this disease, the Fredrickson family faces mounting costs and a long road ahead, even with good insurance. Their family business, built with heart and hustle, will feel the impact, as Danielle pours so much love into every project she does. While she still hopes to keep bringing smiles to others and their causes, her focus now must be on what matters most: her recovery.
Their Boys Need Stability Too
Life has a way of delivering both the sweet and the sour. On the same day the Fredricksons received Danielle’s difficult diagnosis, Parker achieved a major milestone, making the LA Jr. Kings Peewee AAA hockey team, a remarkable accomplishment after just three years of hard work and being a great teammate. But with that incredible honor also comes significant expenses. Tanner is a rising golf talent with a string of tournaments ahead. Both boys are at an age when life already comes with its own challenges, and now they’re facing the unimaginable stress of possibly losing their rock. Yet, their passions provide purpose and hope during this incredibly difficult chapter, offering the family moments of joy and a much-needed distraction from the weight of treatment and uncertainty.

From the Fredricksons
“It’s such a cliché, but we really do take life and the people we love for granted; until everything changes. The love and support from our friends, family, hockey family, and golf community have been more than we ever could have imagined. All the love is giving Danielle the strength she needs to fight this with everything she’s got. Knowing we’re not alone truly means everything.
This is, unfortunately, our family’s time to walk through something hard. We need Danielle back so we can get back to helping others, just like we always have. From the bottom of our hearts, we love you and thank you!”
