On May 25, 23-year-old Olivia Romans was hit by a vehicle while walking to a store in Tuscumbia. Olivia was thrown 30 feet into the air and landed in a concrete parking lot. This caused some severe brain/head trauma, and Olivia has been in Huntsville Hospital STICU unresponsive for the past 12 days.
Her injuries consist of 3 brain contusions, a fractured skull, and she had a small brain bleed and brain edema, but fortunately, the brain bleed was stopped on day 1. Olivia has a tracheotomy and is on a ventilator, but she is starting to breathe on her own some now. Olivia does have Blue Cross/Blue Shield insurance, but her fiancée is staying by her side in Huntsville, and they are facing a very long and difficult recovery process once she regains consciousness.
2-3 months of physical therapy in a rehab facility and possibly some other medical needs that insurance might not cover, not to mention their at-home bills that will fall behind. This sweet family has had some tremendous difficulties in life already to be so young, and this is the only way I knew of to assist them in some way. Please try to donate, if only a dollar or two… every little bit helps! If you can’t donate financially, please say a few prayers for her full recovery and healing! Thank you ❤️
