This has been a heck of a year for our coach, friend, and teammate, Will—in a tragedy of timing, he lost his access to good health insurance right before going through three of the most traumatic and serious injuries of his life: two bad crashes and then, devastatingly, the discovery that he had cancer.
International medicine is expensive, and medical care in the States is even more so. This is especially true of an extended treatment, which his cancer required. We can’t help Will fight his cancer or recover from his treatment, but we can help relieve the burden of his medical expenses.
So many of us appreciate and rely on Will’s eternal optimism, humble attitude, and perfect kindness, and desperately want an opportunity to help. Let’s make this one bad year, not an experience that has to influence his decisions for the next decade—we can help him put these past few months firmly in the past.
