Tanya is a driven, dedicated, and compassionate mother of three, wife, healthcare worker, best friend, daughter, sister, Grandma-to-be to two, and much more!! No matter how much she cares and gives, it seems she always gets the short end of the stick. On top of having fibromyalgia, she’s had hip replacement 2x before the age of 40, screws in her back due to a car wreck (not her fault), 5 cervical surgeries, and recently random seizures that have gone from 1 a month to 2 a week.
This past Wednesday proved to be no different and this is why I’m begging for help; not only for her but her whole family. The family dog, which they raised 100% from a pup, turned on her in an instant and began to attack her; literally going for her jugular and face. Luckily, her two boys were home and heard her cries for help, but they were both attacked in the attempt to save their mom. Unfortunately, they had no other choice, and one of them had to euthanize the dog that was mauling their mom and get help.
After being life-flighted, 9 hours of surgery, and both her babies being bit, she now has a disfigured and painful face, left palm and fingers shredded, and right (dominant) arm ripped from elbow to wrist and metacarpals crushed.
She was sent home after 2 days and is overwhelmed and burdened as to what the future holds. She absolutely can’t physically take care of herself seeing her upper extremities are completely wrapped and half of her face is stitched up. She needs round-the-clock care, meds, and procedures done that her insurance won’t cover. So either her husband takes care of her and loses his job (12-hour night shifts) or works and leaves her alone; all the while having a mortgage, insurance, and kids to support.
SO THIS IS WHY I’M ASKING FOR HELP FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY!!! Personally, she’s been through so many issues but now it’s dire. She needs care but insurance won’t pay and her husband will lose his job if he takes that long off; not to mention she and her son both need more surgeries.
