My name is Talea (or T), and I’m raising funds to get top surgery—something I’ve dreamed about for a long time.
For years, I wasn’t confident enough to share this part of myself, especially in today’s world where being visibly queer or non-binary often comes with fear and judgment. But after a lot of self-reflection and growth, I’ve finally embraced who I am. Now that I’ve found the courage, I’m asking for help to take the next step: making this life-changing surgery possible.
As a non-binary person, I’ve struggled with gender dysphoria for most of my life—especially around my chest. It affects my mental health, self-image, and day-to-day comfort in ways that are hard to put into words. Top surgery would not only ease that dysphoria but would also allow me to live more freely, confidently, and fully as myself.
Unfortunately, gender-affirming surgeries are expensive, and most insurance policies (including mine) don’t cover nearly enough—if anything at all. That’s where you come in.
