My name is Stephanie, and I’m reaching out for help to restore my dental health after years of hardship. For nearly three decades, I survived physical, mental, and sexual abuse. The trauma I endured included a broken neck that left me in a wheelchair for three years. Even after such dramatic injuries, I was afraid to leave because it was the only life I had ever known. It took over a year in hiding to finally escape my abuser, who had controlled my life for 25 years.
In addition to this, I have survived more than three spinal cord surgeries, was run over by a car, and I beat throat cancer. Each of these experiences has tested my strength and determination to keep moving forward, no matter the odds.
Now, as I work to rebuild my life, I’m facing ongoing dental issues that deeply affect my self-esteem and daily interactions. I need screw-in dentures, but the cost is more than I can manage on my own. I have a dentist ready to help as soon as I can secure the funds or a grant. This support would not only restore my smile but also help me regain confidence and continue healing from my past.
Being able to smile again would also give me the courage to speak in public and share my story with other abuse survivors. I want to show others that it is possible to break free, even after years of being controlled and brainwashed. Any contribution will make a real difference in my journey toward recovery, independence, and helping others find hope.
Most of all, I hope to restore my smile so I can finally find love in my life and move forward with confidence.
