- Hello, my name is Robert Hernandez. I am a dialysis patient in need of help. I am a bilateral amputee, which means that both my legs were amputated below the knee. I was a Special Education teacher and school administrator for San Antonio ISD for many years until I had to medically retire. I lost my left leg due to complications from hardware and diabetes in 2023. My right leg was amputated this past Christmas in December 2024. I was hospitalized over six separate times during the 2024 year. Since then, we have struggled tremendously to make ends meet, and I have never asked for anything. I have had several hospitalizations since then, which took a severe toll financially. I am in end-stage renal failure, which requires me to go to dialysis three times a week.
- I’m in need of any donations to help cover my medical and prosthetic bills. I am humbly requesting help on this platform to help with anything.
