I never ask for help and don’t like asking for help. I’m in a crisis and in need during this tough time. In 2008, I had a root canal at the age of 12 years old due to a filling falling out and not being able to get help right away. The tooth ended up getting affected again and I had to get it redone as a teenager. Now in 2025, I had a severe tooth infection from my root canal tooth, which turned into facial cellulitis. Now the infection has gone into my bone and I need to have the tooth extracted and a bone graft. Then I’ll get an implant once I’m healed, which will be 3-6 months later after the extraction. This root canal tooth has been a nightmare mentally, emotionally, physically, and financially.
May 28, 2025, I went to the ER because my whole left side of my face was swollen. I received IV antibiotics (for the infection), IV sodium chloride (to hydrate me), IV steroids (for the swelling), and IV contrast (for my CT scan). I had a CT scan done to see how severe the infection was. During my hospital visit, I had a vein blowout, blood drawn, another nurse did an IV, felt abandoned by the nurses, etc. Overall, it was a horrible hospital experience.
I was taking 2 different types of antibiotics as I was supposed to and nothing was working. Thankfully, the medicine from the hospital brought down my infection significantly. I was on a liquid diet for a week because I couldn’t eat or sleep.
I’m going to be flooded with ER hospital, dental, and doctor office bills. My tooth extraction and implant with the crown will cost me $4,354.20, which is a rough estimate from my dentist. I currently have no clue how much my ER visit or doctor’s office bill will be. Any donation will help me out tremendously and I will appreciate it.
