Hello, my name is Jenn, and I’m reaching out as a mother who never imagined she would be in this position. My daughter, NaShaylah, was recently diagnosed with a rare and life-altering autoimmune condition called Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis (GPA)—a serious disorder that causes inflammation of the blood vessels and can affect vital organs.
For months, NaShaylah suffered from what we thought were recurring sinus infections, but the pain worsened and spread to her face and nose. After many doctor visits and painful tests, we finally got the diagnosis. Unfortunately, by the time it was discovered, GPA had already done severe damage—completely eroding her nasal septum and destroying tissue in both sides of her nose.
NaShaylah now faces reconstructive surgery to rebuild her septum and restore what has been lost. She is currently undergoing high-dose steroids and will soon begin immunosuppressive infusions. This is a lifelong condition, but with the right treatment, she can go into remission and reclaim a sense of normalcy.
Right now, though, she is very sick and unable to work. NaShaylah is a single mom, fiercely independent, and has always worked hard to care for her child on her own. Watching her struggle—physically, emotionally, and financially—has been heartbreaking. She has already lost her car and is now at risk of losing her home.
We are doing everything we can, but her medical expenses, specialist visits, and basic living costs during this period of treatment are more than we can manage alone.
I’m creating this fundraiser to ask—humbly—for your help. Every dollar will go toward:
Covering uninsured medical bills and treatments
Housing and utility support so she can heal without fear of losing her home
Transportation costs to and from specialists
Support for her daily living needs while she is unable to work
We are also hoping to recover her car, which was recently repossessed due to missed payments while she’s been too sick to work. If we can pay the repo service in time, she has a chance of getting it back—something that would make a huge difference in getting to medical appointments and caring for her child.
This has been an incredibly hard journey, but we remain hopeful. NaShaylah is a fighter, and with help, she can focus on recovery instead of survival.
Even if you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this page with others. Your support means the world to our family.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart,
Jenn (NaShaylah’s Mom)
