Hello, my name is Nancy, and I’m a mother asking for your compassion and support for my daughter, who is going through one of the hardest times in her life.
Recently, my daughter began losing feeling in her legs and started falling unexpectedly. After seeking medical help, we received devastating news: she has blown out a spinal disc. The disc is nearly gone, and it’s compressing her nerves so badly that she’s lost feeling in one of her legs completely.
We saw a spinal specialist, and he confirmed she will need major surgery to remove the damaged disc and stabilize her spine using bolts, screws, and plates. The procedure is expected to take about 3 hours, with at least two days in the hospital and a minimum of three months of recovery time.
The most difficult part is that the doctor is unsure whether the nerve damage to her left leg can be reversed. She may never regain full feeling in it, but the surgeon will do his absolute best.
She’s a devoted mother to two wonderful children, and now she faces months of not being able to work, drive, or care for them like she wants to. She’s in pain every day and unable to live the life she had before this injury.
As a mother, it’s heartbreaking to watch your child go through something like this. That’s why I’m asking for your help.
