Hi, My name is Morgan. My birthday is coming up in August and I will turn 2. Im just a baby, but I’ve been diagnosed with a life altering disease. My Mom says that she needs me to get better because we have to many mud puddles to swim in, to many streams to dive into after my favorite rocks, to many dates to go “byes” and hang my head out the window. Sadly, my new illness is becoming quickly unaffordable, and its making my Mom really sad. She tells me that we have to much of a good life left to live, and I’m supposed to be going with her everywhere.
I have IMHA. IMHA in dogs stands for Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia. It’s an autoimmune disease where the dog’s immune system attacks its own red blood cells. This leads to a decrease in red blood cells, causing anemia and potentially serious health problems. This disease may require me to have more blood transfusions (I’ve had one, and I did good, too!) daily medicine, monthly bloodwork, and maybe even most hospitalizations.
The vets I’ve seen have said I’m a REALLY good girl, and my tests show that I’m fighting REALLY hard to get better. Unfortunately, there will be a time that my Mom says the cost is more than she can handle and I will have to cross the rainbow bridge. I’m not ready to go yet, and my Mom tells me that she can’t send me either, so we have to fight together

If I should have to cross over the rainbow bridge before I get better, my Mom says she will be giving all donations to the local vet to help families who need to care of their good girls and boys like me, but can’t quite handle the financial burden.
If you have a healthy dog, consider allowing your dog to become a blood donor, because without my donor(s), I may never come home.
