Hi, my name is Dan, and I’m raising $10,000 to buy a small used motorhome — not for travel or luxury, but to finally have a place where I can live independently, safely, and in peace.
I’ve been diagnosed with Bipolar I Disorder, and traditional housing has only made things harder. Right now, I rent a small room on the second floor of a house. It’s not only unstable and expensive, but also inaccessible for my disabled daughter, who struggles to visit because of the stairs.
When my mental health flares up, it helps me tremendously to be in a quiet space or surrounded by nature — but living where I am now, I can’t just go somewhere peaceful when I need to. I have no privacy, no freedom, and I’m constantly stressed about rent. It’s making everything worse.
A small motorhome would change all of that.
It would give me a stable, affordable place to live, without the pressure of rent I can’t sustain
It would let me move to calming locations when I need it most
And it would give my daughter a ground-level, accessible space where she can safely visit me
This isn’t about comfort — it’s about having a shot at a healthier, more manageable life. I’ve been doing everything I can, but without savings or credit, I can’t get a loan, and even discounted RVs require down payments I simply don’t have.
I’m asking for help to buy a reliable used motorhome, cover registration and insurance, and make any minor repairs needed to get it road-ready and livable.
