Matthew Julian is someone known in the amputee community for his positive attitude, perseverance, and advocacy for other amputees. After Matthew lost his right leg below the knee in January 2018, he has dedicated his life to helping other amputees and works as an advocate for amputees. His passion for this work started when he was in the hospital after losing his right leg and he received little to no education on his amputation, and vowed to not let that happen to others. He has written a book, Hitting Reset, where he recounts his life decisions and how they impact his present lifestyle. He is passionate about speaking and educating new, and learning from veteran amputees through support groups, his Facebook groups, and his work advocating for amputees at prosthetic and orthotic clinics.
Now Matthew is in need of our support again! Last month, just after moving back to Spring, Texas, Matthew was faced with another challenge and became a double amputee, losing his left leg above the knee. He didn’t even have a chance to settle into his new apartment and job. Matthew is currently waiting for his disability application to be processed, will need assistance with monthly bills, medical bills, and making mobility adjustments to his new apartment.
Matthew has inspired me and many others with his uplifting and positive outlook on life, empathetic nature, perseverance, and faith and love for God. He faces battles head-on with his faith leading him.
Please help out in any way you can. Any amount helps. You can also buy his book, Hitting Reset, sold on Amazon.
Thank you so much for supporting Matthew!
