Help Leslie Get Critical Oral Surgery

My name is Leslie, and I am reaching out for help as I prepare for oral maxillofacial surgery. Years of chronic acid reflux, GERD, and genetic periodontal disease have led to significant bone loss in my jaw and face. While I am not in constant pain, there are times when even simple actions like biting, chewing, or moving my jaw become difficult and painful. My condition has also limited what I can eat, and if left untreated, it could lead to infections and further bone and gum damage.

I need to have this surgery within the next few months, but due to the defense of my dissertation over the summer, I will not be able to schedule the procedure until August at the earliest. Unfortunately, after insurance, I am still responsible for a large portion of the cost, and I am unable to secure a loan due to existing medical debt. The dental company does not offer flexible payment plans, making it urgent for me to raise the remaining funds. As the main income earner for my family of five—including my widowed father, my son, his wife, and my granddaughter—I am doing everything I can to keep us stable. I work full time as a teacher, part time as a church organist, and I am finishing my doctoral degree in education. I plan to schedule the surgery over a weekend to minimize time away from my students and family responsibilities.

Your support will help me get the care I need to restore my health and continue providing for my loved ones. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference. Thank you for considering my story and helping me move forward.

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
