Hi everyone,
My name is Elsa , and I’m reaching out to share the story of my sister, Leobarda, who is currently facing an unexpected urgent medical emergency.
Leobarda was recently diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) is a rare condition where the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks the nerves, leading to muscle weakness, numbness, and it has caused her to no longer be able to walk. The situation is serious, and she requires immediate and ongoing intensive therapy medical treatment to recover and rebuild her health.
Leo is a hard working mother who has a son who means the world to her. As you can imagine being away from him has taken a toll on their family. She wants to recover quickly to be able to attend to him but we know an effective rehabilitation cannot be rushed. Unfortunately, due to all of this , Leo has not been able to work for about 3 months and she will have to take another 3 months off for intensive therapy.
The cost of emergency care, taking time off work, treatment, and any necessary follow-up is overwhelming, and we’re doing everything we can to support her through this difficult time. That’s why we’re humbly asking for help from friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go directly toward medical expenses, treatments, and the support she needs to get better.
We are grateful for your kindness, prayers, and generosity during this hard time. Please share this story to help us reach more people who can help.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,
Andrade Family
