My husband Ken has faced a series of serious health challenges, including heart surgery, multiple strokes, diabetes, and the loss of several toes. These conditions have left him with limited mobility and balance, and he now relies on a wheelchair to get around. Our mobile home bathroom is no longer safe or usable for him—he cannot stand on his own, and the toilet has even fallen through the floor. Because of this, I have to give him sponge baths, as he cannot access the shower or toilet safely.
We urgently need to renovate our bathroom to make it accessible and safe for Ken. The most important improvement is installing a shower with a bench, so he can bathe comfortably and with dignity. We also need to repair the floor and replace the toilet to restore basic functionality. This situation has been extremely stressful for both of us, as it affects Ken’s health and our daily lives. Any support will help us create a safe space for Ken and ease the burden we are facing.
