Help Keith and Erin Rebuild After multiple Tradgedies

I was working for FedEx unloading trailers and slipped inside the trailer and suffered a billateral fracture of my right ankle. The timing could not have been worse because I am the sole provider for my home and this accident put me out of work for 9 months. If you ever thought workman’s comp would be a nice break because you do get paid while out of work. Well let me tell you it is most definitely not worth it (not even a little bit) unless you are well off and have a years salary in the bank that you can live on. In my case unfortunately my fiance and I have financially struggled ever since hurricane Sandy took our home back in Oct 2012. I have never experienced anything like this and pray that no one has to live through the devestation we survived.

So last September I broke my right ankle and a few weeks later started to receive the workman’s compensation checks. So now I had to figure out how to live on $302 EA week.

Your exactly right, this is not possible to live on anywhere in the USA, New Jersey made this challenge impossible.

Here we are 9 months later and I I am finally back to work. I am currently about to take on different fulltime work and I will have to work part-time for FedEx as well. Even with these 2 jobs I calculated that I will be able to keep $1 in my wallet after working About 5 years straight. And that quite possible will end up being much longer because I am stuck in a hotel paying them every cent I can earn! At 51 years old this is not the position I had ever dreamed to be in.

The only possible chance I have to leave this hotel and find even a room to rent is to find a lottery ticket.

If you were ever to know me personally, you would know that I am a extremely hard worker and always give 110%. But lately I’m beginning to wonder if I will ever truly be happy and live even a very simple life. I never experienced depression before but now I have a full understanding of what people who suffer from depression live with…..pure hell!

If I can find a way to get out of this hotel and get a chance to start over I made a promise to the universe. I will l dedicate my time and anything I can do to help people who suffer through losing their battle to Mother Nature! There are some people who insist they need a bunch of money to live again. Well that’s just not true. I recently learned that things are just that…. things. And as long as my rent is paid I can literally live on $50-$100 a week at the most, and many weeks can even do better. My fiance and I have been dealt a rough hand the past 10 years and lost everything twice. We are ok with that and have become very simple. If get provided the chance we will be spending our free time working with less fortunate people to show them that it isn’t the things you accumulate in like that create happiness. It’s the people you surrounded yourself with that are irreplaceable and I will cherish every day and do my best to help my friends live out their lives understanding that if we don’t have each other, we have nothing! Times are much different than when we grew up but it’s time for that to change. If we can walk down the street and smile to say hello to our neighbors then we are headed in the right direction. I know you all feel the same….SO LETS START MAKING A DIFFERENCE TODAY. You will quite possible save someones life, and you will definitely start to make the world that beautiful, fun, livin

Thank you for taking the time to read our story. We are all beautiful people and always remember you have the ability to make someone’s day just by acknowledging them and sharing a smile! Money will come and go and that’s proven over and over. I m not the person to ask for anything (yes stubborn) but I am swallowing my pride and asking.

P,S. Brownie and Duncan (our little rabbit children)wanted me to say thank you very much if your able to help in any way. They definitely appreciate a fresh batch of Timothy hay.:-)

Thanks again for taking the time to read this.

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
