Help Kate Lane Battle Cancer’s Toll

Hi, my name is Kim Cantrell with Knoxville Pays It Forward, a local grassroots non-profit covering Knoxville and surrounding counties in East Tennessee. Our goal is to help hardworking individuals who find themselves in a bind due to no fault of their own.

If you have ever been to the local KFC in Lenoir City, then you have most likely met one of the managers there, Kate Lane. She always greeted regulars with a smile and told them to drive safe. That smiling face has served you at the Lenoir City KFC for 20 years.

Kate is a hardworking married mom of three who, on May 5th, was diagnosed with Stage 3 triple-negative breast cancer. Due to her illness and chemo treatments, which she is having once a week, she can no longer work at this time. After these treatments, she will be having surgery and other treatments.

Most of us live paycheck to paycheck, and missing one paycheck can put some families into a major financial bind. Now that Kate will be out of work, it’s our place as neighbors to help. No amount is too small. Skip lunch out and give the money to help. Even a dollar will help. Or even if you can’t help right now, please keep Kate in your prayers.

Not only will she now have enormously high medical bills, but she still has to keep a roof over her family’s heads and keep food in her girls’ tummies. Going from two incomes to one is extremely hard, and we never know when we could be in those shoes. Please help any way you can. You can even donate directly at KFC. Together we can all make a difference. All funds will be sent directly to Kate through fundraiser

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
