Help Jenn Recover & Prepare for a Heart Transplant Evaluation
Hi, we’re Crisi and Jenn—lifelong best friends who are sharing this story with a lot of love, hope, and just a little bit of fear.
Just six weeks ago, Jenn’s heart stopped. She went into full cardiac arrest and flatlined. Paramedics performed life-saving CPR and brought her back. That moment changed everything.
She suffered broken ribs, was placed on oxygen, and has spent the last six weeks trying to heal—not just physically, but emotionally and financially. From the outside, Jenn looks amazing today. But inside, she’s still recovering from something unimaginable… and the road ahead is even harder.
Next month, we’re traveling to a heart transplant center in Salt Lake City for an advanced evaluation. This will determine what her next steps are—including the possibility of a transplant. It’s a major milestone, and it comes with major expenses.
Even with decent insurance, the costs are overwhelming:
$30–$100 co-pays for each specialist appointment
Ongoing prescriptions, oxygen supplies, and testing
Travel expenses for out-of-state care (gas, lodging, food)
Delayed Aflac reimbursements that have left her behind on essential bills
We’re asking for help to raise $14,000, broken into two phases:
$7,000 to catch up on urgent medical and household bills, and cover the upcoming transplant evaluation
An additional $7,000 for the long-term needs we expect in the coming months: continued testing, travel, and possible surgical prep
Jenn is strong. She’s determined. And she’s still here—for a reason. We’re building something meaningful together called The Patchwork Nest, where we’ll share our journey and build a new life through creativity, connection, and healing. But that takes time.
