My name is Kelly, I am a mother of four children and I’m raising funds to help get our car insurance reinstated so I can take my 9-year-old son, Isaiah, to his crucial medical appointments. Isaiah was diagnosed with Graves’ disease four years ago, and it’s had a huge impact on his daily life. He struggles with severe eye pain and dryness, which often keeps him from being as active as other kids his age. Regular visits to his endocrinologist at CHOA are essential to monitor his blood levels and manage his condition. Missing even one appointment could mean waiting a long time to get rescheduled, and if his levels are off, it can cause him serious health problems.
We just received a notice that our car insurance was canceled, and without it, I have no way to get Isaiah to his next appointment on Wednesday. I’m on my dad’s insurance, but he’s been out of work since February, and I work as a server three days a week. We simply don’t have the extra funds right now to cover this unexpected expense. I’m doing everything I can to get the money together before Isaiah’s appointment, because these visits are critical for his health and well-being.
