Today’s crazy adventure: we arrived in Colorado at my parents at 1:55pm 2:04pm I called 911. Hope was walking up my parents driveway when she tripped and smacked her face on the ground. We now know she dislocated her tabula on her left leg. They sedated her and reduced it (put it back in place). It began falling out and was put back 4 times. As of now she has no pulse from her knee down. More testing now, then we will know surgery or not. Prayers please.
Update 10pm: Hopes in surgery #1 of 3. Running a tube down the inside of her leg to remove damage and a clot caused by damage. Then tomorrow is #2, they are placing four rods. Two in her thigh and two in her fibula then attaching a bar down the leg. Looking at a few weeks of gear and then back to surgery for removal.
Continue prayers
Update 6/6: surgery #1 to repair the artery to the foot failed. This led to lots of scary and emotional planning.
Then her foot began to have a pulse and showed no signs of dying. This led to surgery #2. This was a successful mounting of rods into the leg to stabilize. Foot is continuing to fight.
Just got word that we are now buying time we hope till Monday/Tuesday. They will then go in through the back of the knee to attempt to repair the artery. They are hopeful.
So, at this time we want to say thank you for the prayers and continued prayers. We are not out of the woods and know we have multiple surgeries ahead of us. Thank you all.
