Hanna, only six days old, has been diagnosed with a serious valvular heart defect and urgently needs open-heart surgery. This devastating news has deeply affected her parents, Daniel and Heliete, as well as all their friends and family.
Hanna was transferred, along with her mother Heliete, to a specialized children’s hospital in another province. Doctors are currently working to stabilize her condition so she can undergo the critical surgery she needs.
Her parents, Daniel and Heliete, are in Ecuador, and Hanna is now being treated at Icaza Bustamante Children’s Hospital in Guayaquil. Due to the urgency, they had to leave their home behind and relocate to Guayaquil to be close to the hospital.
Unfortunately, the cost of medications, medical supplies, and relocation expenses is overwhelming for the family. In addition to medical costs, they also need to rent a small room near the hospital to stay close to their daughter during her treatment and surgery.
They urgently need $8,000 USD to cover:
Medications and medical supplies not covered by the hospital
Temporary housing near the hospital
Food and daily needs during treatment
Post-surgery care and recovery support
Daniel and Heliete have already spent all their savings on initial medical expenses and now need our help to give Hanna a fighting chance. As their friend, in the midst of the chaos and heartbreak, I have created this campaign on their behalf to raise funds to support them.
Right now, only a small part of Hanna’s tiny heart is functioning. While we wait for the surgery to be scheduled, we continue to pray for strength and for a miracle.
Every donation, no matter the amount, makes a huge difference in helping baby Hanna get the care she urgently needs.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your prayers and support during this incredibly difficult time.
With love,
Cristian, Heliete, Daniel & baby Hanna
