Hi, my name is Christina Mitchell, and I’m reaching out with a heart full of hope for my brother, Gallagher Goodland.
Gallagher is in the fight of his life. He has Stage Five Chronic Kidney Disease due to IgA Nephropathy, a rare autoimmune disease that has slowly and painfully destroyed his kidney function. He’s endured more than anyone should—countless ER visits, intense physical suffering, and years of uncertainty and fear. We’ve watched him hang on through it all with courage and quiet strength, even when the odds felt impossible.
But today, for the first time in a long time, we have real hope.
Gallagher has been approved for a life-saving kidney transplant.
Even more incredible—a living donor has been found, and she’s a match.
OU Health has stepped in and is ready to perform the transplant. This is a miracle, and a second chance at life that Gallagher has waited so long for.
Now we need your help.
We’re raising funds to cover:
• Surgery preparation and recovery costs
• Post-transplant medications and follow-up care
• Temporary lodging near the transplant hospital
• Lost income during Gallagher’s recovery
• And importantly, to help Gallagher’s amazing donor—to ensure she’s not left struggling to pay her bills while she heals after giving such a selfless gift
We want this journey to be one of healing—not hardship—for either of them. And we truly can’t do it without a community of support.
Gallagher is the kind of person who never asks for help, even when he needs it most. He’s always been the one to lift others up—and now it’s our turn to be there for him.
Please consider donating if you’re able. Every contribution, no matter how small, will go directly toward helping Gallagher and his donor recover safely and with dignity.
Even if you can’t give, a simple share can make all the difference.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping us give Gallagher his life back.
With gratitude,
Christina and the Goodland Family
