Hello and thank you for hearing my story. All my life, I have taken such great care of my teeth. The motivation for doing so was never vanity, but for practical and health reasons: if your teeth and gums are in good health – then the rest of your body will be.
In the Fall of 2021, I incurred an injury that contributed to the very rapid deterioration of the enamel, causing my teeth to crack and shear off at the gum. Unfortunately, no dentist or doctor could help me. Now, in Spring 2025, i have holes in my gums where teeth should be -held open by the old roots of the teeth. I feel my breath in my my mandible and maxilla. I have lived with the risk of infection every day when I eat and breathe. This (apparently) rare kind of health condition (which no one can identify) could potentially lead to infection, sepsis and also death as well as other diseases. Doing an internet search on such, has been absolutely enlightening and frightening. There is no way to save my teeth, but i can CURE the condition and long tern health risks by having all of my teeth pulled. Naturally i would want to replace these with dentures and, ultimately full mouth implants. Curiously though (and no professional understands why) i do not feel pain yet which is a tremendous blessing for someone whose teeth crack frequently. However, if they did begin to cause pain, it eould extreme, and I would have no recourse because no dentist was will pull (and implant me) for a low nor manageable cost, and if i went to the emergency room, they would just turn me away because the issue is dental.
Needless to say, Ive tried everything to raise the funds: sought out charities and not for profits, government programs, called various dental surgeons, and the local dental school to see if i could be a subject for dental surgery. Of course, i tried to save the money myself as well, but the little I was able to save was used to sustain housing and food and gas last year, in 2024 during several months of unemployment. I have no property to levy financing, no dentist will offer a payment plan, a dental credit line is not possible at this time when im recovering financially, and i have run out of options to find a local dentist save my health. However, i have found a high tech and highly rated dental clinic in Istanbul who is willing (after reviewing my xrays) to perform the difficult surgery of full mouth extraction to pull my teeth (the fewer of which will simply ‘burst’ with pliers), and to extract the roots of the teeth from my gums, provide customized dentures, implant the 6-8 screws in both my upper and lower jaws, and implant full upper and lower teeth implants 6 months after the initial surgery. For a nominal cost, compared to the $50,000 USD that has been quoted to me in the U.S.
I’ve lived with this dangerous condition for several years, and I am intuiting that the clock is ticking. Perhaps its nebulous, but i am told by dentists that if i dont, it may jave serious long term consequences in my health if my teeth arent pulled as soon as possible. I have had other types of surgeries in Instanbul in the past 10 years, and they were hugely and completely successful, so I am somewhat kicking myself for not choosing this option sooner. However, everyday life and living expenses get in my way. It is for this reason, a friend suggested fundraiser.
I have an opportunity to get this surgery with little downtime from work, and the clinic I spoke to has available dates in the next 45 days. However, I need to prepay and show a photo of my plane ticket in order to secure the surgery which is typical of my experience. Istanbul is the medical capital of Europe, and this is the standard. So, i am asking for your kind donation to cover the cost for the two surgeries, plus a plane ticket (for just me) for the first surgery and the second r/t ticket to have the full mouth implants 6 months from now. I hope you can help please by either donating what you can, or simply sharing my story with others who can.
I do not know of, or have anything to give you each in return, except to either to say the Rosary for whatever intention you want – which i am more than happy to tape for you (as proof) or to perform a distance reiki healing for you (which of course) i can also tape for you.
I only have (at the most) 30 days to secure a July or August appointment for the first and most difficult surgery. I have to be back before an important re-certificarion class in early September, so time is of the essence in this respect as well.
Again, I live with the risk of infection every day and would love to end this medical crisis as soon as possible. I thank you for your time in reviewing this request.
