Last summer, my Dad, Eric Sundblad while undergoing tests for knee replacement surgery was diagnosed with non small cell lung cancer (stage 1) and less than a month later was also diagnosed with a separate cancer in his wind pipe, non small cell squamous carcinoma (stage 3). He was not able to receive the knee replacement because of the cancer diagnosis.
After being told surgery was not an option the doctors at Beaumont Dearborn/Corewell, developed an aggressive treatment plan consisting of 30 rounds of radiation and 7 rounds of chemotherapy, which he went through in July and August of 2024.
Then, in November 2024 my dad was told his treatment would continue with one year of immunotherapy once a month. This current immunotherapy treatment is helping him fight the cancer off naturally and keep it from returning.
While my dad’s insurance covered a lot of his treatment, as you can imagine not all of it was covered and his ongoing treatment and the bills have become too much for our family to bear and this is why we are asking for help.
If you can find it in your heart to donate, anything at all would be greatly appreciated. We know times are tough for everyone. Thank you so much for your continued support.
