My name is Diana, and if you’re reading this, you probably know me personally—but you may not know the full story of what’s happened to turn my life into a daily struggle to survive. On July 30, 2022, I drove myself to the emergency room after feeling unwell. After waiting for hours, I was told I had an irregular heart rhythm. The doctor gave me nitroglycerin, and within minutes, my heart stopped. It took over eight minutes to revive me, and I was rushed into surgery where five stents were placed in my chest. The next morning, I flatlined again and woke up hours later in the ICU, terrified and disoriented, with my family by my side.
Since then, life has been a series of challenges. I now have eight stents and take 11 pills every morning and 5 every night just to keep my blood flowing. I live with constant pressure in my head, frequent nosebleeds, and a relentless noise where I can hear my own heartbeat. Even simple tasks like walking around my house leave me dizzy and exhausted, but I keep going for my family. Despite having health insurance, the costs keep piling up—medications, cardiac rehab, and now, the need for heart bypass surgery. The expenses are overwhelming.
I’m asking for help to cover the costs of my upcoming heart bypass surgery, ongoing medications, and cardiac rehabilitation. Every bit of support will help me get the treatment I need to keep fighting for my life and my family. Thank you for reading my story and considering a donation to help me through this critical time.
