Charles has always put his family first, even while facing serious health challenges. Last year, he had to have his second toe on his right foot removed due to a severe infection. Despite the pain and the financial burden that came with the surgery, Charles never complained. Now, he’s facing an even more urgent situation: a bone infection in his right leg that has spread up to his knee. Doctors say the only way to stop the infection is to remove his leg from the knee down, and this needs to happen soon to protect his overall health.
Charles is the backbone of our family. He’s taken me and my son Collin, who is 14, into his home and does everything he can to support us. I don’t drive, so Charles makes sure Collin gets to and from school every day and takes me to all my appointments. Even with his own health struggles, he always puts our needs before his own. We’ve tried every possible avenue for help—Medicare, Medicaid, government assistance, and local charities—but none have been able to provide the support we need. The costs from his previous surgery are still weighing on us, and now we’re facing even more expenses for this urgent procedure.
We’re asking for help so Charles can get the surgery he needs and focus on recovery without the constant worry about how we’ll manage the bills. Any support will go directly toward his medical expenses and help keep our family together during this difficult time. Thank you for reading our story and considering a donation to help Charles.
