Hi everyone, my name is Ashley Carvajal! I’m creating this fundraiser page for my cousin Cesar Chamba. He obtained a devastating workplace accident that changed his life forever. While he was performing his job duties, he sustained severe injuries to his face and neck that required emergency surgery and the placement of a permanent tracheostomy. The trauma has caused lasting damage—impacting his ability to breathe, speak, and eat normally. Every day now he has to deal with severe pain, multiple medications, and intensive medical care. He is unable to return to work and faces mounting medical bills, rehabilitation costs, and ongoing therapy. His family back in Ecuador is struggling to help with all the costs of the surgeries. He still had a few more surgeries left before he can start his recovery. This fundraiser was created to help with these overwhelming expenses and to support his journey toward healing and adapting to this new reality.
