Hi everyone,
My name is Scott Sherman, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my beloved little brother, Brett. While Brett is the youngest of the three Sherman siblings, he is also the wisest and strongest. He has always been compassionate and caring for everyone around him, whether it is his older siblings, our Mom and Dad, or his 5 children that he has raised with unconditional love. Brett has faced challenges from time to time throughout his life, as we all have, but the latest challenge is the biggest and too big for him to take on alone.
Brett was diagnosed with cancer the first time 4 years ago. After undergoing a long series of chemo and other treatments, we all thought he “beat it.” But in January of 2024, it came back, and worse. It started in his pancreas and now has spread to his stomach and lungs. He has been enduring aggressive chemo and other treatments that have been taking their toll on his strength and his ability to run the family furniture store. He and his wife Lindsay have been putting on a brave face and trying to do it all on their own, but it is time for us to step in and help them.
Brett is 62 years old, a devoted husband to Lindsay, and the proud father of five children. Two of his children still live at home. Brett and Lindsay have always given everything they have to care for their family with love and dedication—now, they need our help.
With Brett’s ability to work limited and medical expenses mounting, they are struggling to cover basic living costs, let alone the overwhelming cost of treatments, hospital visits, medications, and travel to specialists. Lindsay is doing everything she can, but the financial burden is becoming unmanageable.
We are asking for help so Brett can focus on his fight—not on bills. Any amount you can contribute will go directly toward:
Medical bills and treatments not covered by insurance
Travel to medical appointments
Everyday living expenses (food, utilities, etc.)
Support for his children
Brett has always been the one others could turn to. Now it’s our turn to show up for him.
Please donate if you can—and if you can’t donate, please share this page with others. Your support, prayers, and kindness mean more than words can express.
Thank you for standing with Brett and our family during this incredibly hard time.
With gratitude,
Scott Sherman
