Our dear friend Bev is facing an incredibly challenging time and could really use our community’s support. Like so many hardworking people, Bev was already managing on a tight budget when life threw her a series of unexpected medical curveballs.
Earlier this year, Bev had to undergo a necessary mammogram, which came with its own financial burden. Then, as if that wasn’t enough, she developed three kidney stones that required surgical removal. Anyone who’s experienced kidney stones knows how excruciating they can be, and Bev had to endure not just the physical pain, but the stress of mounting medical bills she simply can’t afford.
These weren’t elective procedures – they were essential for Bev’s health and well-being. But even with insurance, the out-of-pocket costs for multiple surgeries and medical appointments have created a financial crisis for someone who was already stretched thin.
Bev is the kind of person who would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. She’s always been there for others, and now it’s our turn to be there for her. No one should have to choose between their health and their financial stability.
