Hi, we are Angel & Jennifer, and we’re the proud parents of our beautiful baby boy, Silas.
Silas was born on New Year’s Day with a rare and complex condition called Heterotaxy Syndrome, which causes organs to form in abnormal positions or with severe defects. From the moment he entered the world, he’s been fighting for his life.
Since birth, Silas has been in the CICU and has already undergone multiple procedures for not only his heart but also tracheal reconstruction. Despite all he’s been through, Silas is incredibly strong and continues to amaze us with his bravery and resilience.
Unfortunately, his journey is far from over.
Silas will need more surgeries in the months — and even years — to come. These procedures are vital to giving him the chance at a full and healthy life. While we are doing everything we can to stay strong and present for Silas, the emotional, physical, and financial strain has been overwhelming.
We are reaching out for help.
All donations will go towards medical expenses, gas, meals and daily living cost during his long hospitalization stay, therapies, support for Silas continued care and recovery after discharge, and possible travel out of state for specialized medical care.
No parent is ever prepared for this kind of journey — and we are incredibly grateful for the love and support we’ve already received. If you can donate, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. If you can’t, we’d be just as grateful if you’d share Silas’s story.
Thank you for standing with us in this fight.
With love and hope,
Jennifer, Angel & Baby Silas
