Hi there. My name is Andrea and I am hoping for some help from my community.
On June 1st, I went to work at Ronald McDonald House Charities and about 3 hours into my shift, I suffered the first seizure of my life. The back left side of my skull was directly impacted, fractured, and caused a hematoma and concussion. I was admitted into the hospital for 5 days and released home 2 days ago with many new medications, multiple follow-up appointments with neurosurgery, physical therapy, occupational therapy, etc., that will continue for months.
I received an email saying my job position is being replaced and my license is also medically suspended for 6 months. My husband works, but it’s just not enough to support him, me, and our three children that remain at home. All of these extra expenses and hospital bills are completely out of budget.
Also, not necessarily a need, but a great want, I was able to borrow a wheelchair, but I could really use a ramp because our porch has 7 stairs and it’s difficult to get me up them. I’m happy to provide any information someone needs to verify… I just desperately need help.
