Help Abel Get Back on His Feet

Dear Donors,

Well, if you’re reading this plea for help, then you’ll know how desperate I am to be seeking funds from strangers! This is a hard thing for me to be doing, but I’m in a desperate situation.

Here’s my story:

My name is Abel. I’m a 73-year-old, single man who lives alone and when working, works very hard and proudly. I have been a stagehand for nearly fifty years and still working stage. Until now.

My desperate situation began last year, 2024 in April, when I had a heart attack and a stroke to my left eye. The heart attack took me off work call for nearly three months. But the stroke to the left did leave me, my eye with permanent, impaired vision.

In October of 2024 I found myself back at work and in December found myself recovering from the financial setback I had experience as a result of the heart attack and stroke.

My work and financial situation was indeed improving and hopefully to be stable by the end of January 2025.

And just as my life was getting better, probably the worst thing that could happen, happened.

On the eve December 22, 2024, after working that day, I noticed my left foot starting to swell but didn’t recognize the swelling as serious until the next day on the 23rd, late in the afternoon, my left foot had now swollen up more so and was hard as a rock. I almost ignore it and convinced myself that the swelling would go down and that I would be okay for the next morning, the 24th of December.

Unfortunately for me, the next morning on the 24th, my left foot had swollen yet even more so, and was now black in color and bleeding.

On my own I managed to drive myself to the nearest emergency room. And just in the nick of time. Most fortunately for me there was surgeon on duty and when he saw my foot, all he could say was that the foot would have to amputated or I would die in an hour or two!

And that’s what happened! On December 24th I had my left foot amputated. And I’m recovering from that amputation now and nearing full wound healing and ready to receive an artificial foot!

And it is here where I find myself in financial need! I desperately what to, need to go back to work! Work is a must! A must! But I need the prosthetic and can’t afford the $4,000.00.

And that’s what I need, $4,000.00

Thank you!

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
