What started as a vacation quickly turned into a life-threatening emergency. My dad suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm and has been in and out of the hospital ever since. Over the past few months, he has undergone multiple intense procedures—including coiling, a craniotomy, a failed clip attempt, the placement of a shunt, and finally a flow diversion.
His stay in Oregon has lasted far longer than anyone expected—now approaching three months—keeping him and his wife far from home, their jobs, and their life in Southeast Alaska. They traveled with their loyal furry companion and have been doing their best to stay strong through every obstacle.
While I’m beyond grateful that my dad is still with us and on the road to recovery, the emotional, physical, and financial toll has been immense. Funds raised will go directly toward his medical expenses, food, and travel needs as we work toward eventually getting them home.
Any amount helps, and even a share means so much. Thank you for supporting my dad and our family during this incredibly difficult time.
With love and gratitude,
