We’re looking for help to be able to provide our son with an opportunity we believe would help his development.
At the age when children are usually picking up speech, we noticed that he was starting to fall behind on certain milestones. After visiting with numerous pediatricians and pediatric therapists, most of them did not spend the time trying to find the root cause and instead wanted to treat the symptoms.
We feel like we finally found a place that takes the approach of building a foundation of correct development and growing upon it to reach his full potential. After our initial consultation, they were able to give us a deeper look into what his struggles are and what areas he’s behind in. Essentially, the right side of his brain has been developing slower than his left, cognitively, and they feel like they can correct it. However, even though we believe this would be a real solution to help our son work through his difficulties, it’s unfortunately not covered by insurance.
This is the initial upfront cost to get started to cover the team of doctors coming up with a personalized plan for him and equipment to be used at home to complement his therapy during the week.
