Fund Mac’s Wheelchair Van After Tragedy

This is my son Mac. He was made a quadriplegic by a drunk driver with no insurance. He was decapitated internally at the peak of his high school senior year. As a single mom, I have dug out of a half a million dollar debt working three jobs. Then, he was slapped with a $359,000 Texas Medicaid lien on him. Our lawyers fought to get the lien off of him and were successful for the most part. We still are about $50,000 in debt, but we’re trying to raise money for a proper wheelchair vehicle for him to be able to get around so he can start his healing process. We are currently fighting victims of violent crimes as well. He was approved for $120,000 in May of 2022, but we have yet to see a dime of it. I’m a very prideful woman and I still work three jobs to this day to dig ourselves out of this debt and try to find some normalcy. A skilled nurse costs $221 an hour, and while I work three jobs, my 14-year-old helps watch his brothers and takes care of them. I am asking for help to help this kid not be a victim anymore. He has suffered so much and deserves a chance to start his life without a massive crushing debt on him and be able to afford a proper wheelchair vehicle.
