For funds for expenses due to medical reasons

Hi, my name is Marlene Tilbury and I am starting this fundraiser to help cover some of the expenses incurred for Ron and Kelly Banks due to medical reasons. Ron went for a typical battery change on his pacemaker on April 11, by May 3 he was in emergency and admitted to hospital due to developing a severe infection at the pacemaker site. It was soon determined that his pacemaker and leads to the heart had to be removed to get rid of the infection and a new pacemaker would then be put in on the opposite side of his chest. Unfortunately, the only place that could perform this surgery was St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver BC. I am the one who accompanied Ron to Vancouver for numerous reasons, we were told if everything went well, we would be home in a week. We flew to Vancouver via Medevac plane, expecting to be back in Manitoba a week later. Unfortunately, one thing after another kept going wrong and we were not home in a week, we finally made it back to Manitoba after almost a month. Thankfully the Medevac flights were covered, but accommodations and food were not……and let me tell you, the cost of my accommodations that they had to pay for would blow your mind, as well as now gas for going back and forth to Brandon now that he’s back in Manitoba. It is unknown at this time how much longer Ron will have to be in hospital. Every little bit helps, so if you are able to donate anything, we thank you, we would also appreciate positive vibes and prayers for Ron to make a speedy recovery to get back home where he belongs and is so anxious to get there. ❤️
