Hello. My name is Sandi and I am trying to raise money for my parents’ bills and hospital bills. My mother is extremely ill; her lungs are in bad shape, and she is on oxygen. She has been in and out of hospitals and rehabilitation for over 3 years. Since she is covered by Medicare, you can imagine it’s treat and get out. We finally found a good heart doctor who has done several tests. He first found she had so many blood clots they were surprised one hadn’t moved and caused a stroke. She was careflighted to the hospital because they were terrified they would move. She was in the hospital for weeks on high dose of blood thinners and went home on one that cost more than a car payment. A year later, she was having problems, and he took a huge blood clot out around her heart. My dad is retired, they are on medicare and the bills keep piling. Medicine they have to go thru a canadian pharmacy but is still 500 a month, that’s not including the other medications cost. They do not have the money to cover all these expenses and it is weighing heavy on my father and me. We put them on our cell bill, cut the cable, and I want to help more, but we’ve had our own challenges. Several months ago, a big storm came through, and a big tree limb landed on the house. We are still waiting for the electrical company to cut the other side of the tree off the power line. If it goes, my mom will not have power for her oxygen. The week of my daughter’s wedding, our house was struck by lightning. Thank God it did not catch fire, but it caused electrical problems throughout the house and took out the circuit boards on several things in our house that we are trying to find the money to fix. We are so blessed my mother and father made it just in time for her granddaughter’s wedding, took a picture, and then she had to leave. She was exhausted just by that outing. She recently, as of today, went back to the hospital to have stents put in, and they have found a heart valve leakage that they cannot fix. My parents have been there for me through everything, including two liver transplants and helped whenever needed. Now it is my turn. They do not live in a big house or live beyond their means. They can’t afford these medical bills, medicine or a dependable car. My dad prays it makes it to hospital and Dr Appt every time. Please help me help them. Thank you for your time reading our story and hopefully giving what you can. God bless.
