Donate to Donna Whalen’s Recovery and Financial Stability

Hello

I am Donna Whalen . I was in a motor vehicle accident 5/31/24 -t boned on both sides. I was taken to a local ER to be assessed and upon working me up for a concussion and whiplash a 4 inch tumor was identified in my brain..I was immediately sent to another facility and a craniotomy was performed 6/3/24 to remove this tumor.Pathology showed it was a glioblastoma tumor , very aggressive and malignant.I have been going through oncology and radiation treatments . I was a billing, coding and follow up supervisor for Trinity Health.I was on approved FMLA benefits , I was on short term leave for 6 months then Dec 1st applied for long term leave. December 5th I received an email terminating my employment . I lost my health coverage , pay etc.

I had to apply for SSI disability and was approved.

I am very disappointed with the monthly benefit they will start paying . Not enough to meet my monthly bills which is causing financial difficulties. I am now looking at filing bankruptcy but that costs money to file.

i applied for help from our local social services and was denied all but 12.00 in food stamps a month.

My quality of life is horrible, sick all the time due to these treatments.

I am asking for help to cover medical costs and be able to meet my monthly expenses.

Prayers are welcomed as this tumor can reoccur.

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
