After years of dealing with chronic inflammation, fatigue, back pain, and a host of other unpleasant symptoms, Charlotte plans to undergo explant surgery in the fall of 2025. This surgery will remove not only the saline implants that she no longer wishes to keep in her body, but also the excessive, inflamed scar tissue around them. Chronic inflammation in the breasts has been linked to cancer, so Charlotte and her doctors feel it is imperative to address this as soon as possible. Unfortunately, since Breast Implant Illness (BII) has not yet been widely studied, this procedure is still considered elective, and thus is not covered by insurance.
You can read more about BII and its health risks here.
Charlotte will need help covering her expenses for the surgery, as well as basic needs during the recovery period, when she will be unable to work.
Please consider helping Charlotte to reclaim her life and health, so she can get back to doing all of the things she loves!
