Hello everyone, this fundraiser was started for my best friend Daniel, also known as Chase, of 10 years and his family to help raise money for orthopedic equipment and medical bills. Due to a malfunction of his motorcycle, a tragic accident happened, causing him to be thrown from his bike upon impact, rupturing his spleen, causing internal bleeding, damaging vertebrae in his spine, breaking his shoulder, road rash, damage to his clavicle joint, and tearing of his groin. This caused him to need plenty of stitches, drainage tubes, and an emergency splenectomy to remove the ruptured spleen and stop his internal bleeding. He is lucky to be alive; if an unknown Good Samaritan didn’t stop and stay with him immediately, I don’t know if he would have made it, and I thank God every day that she was there. He will be hospitalized for a week as of now, but was notified things could change. When he is released, he will be sent to a rehabilitation center where he will stay until he can start to function without assistance. He’s going to need a wheelchair and other rehabilitation equipment and orthopedic equipment; we’re waiting on an exact list as of now.
