Our Story
Hi, we’re Julia and Devin Custar. For nearly two years, we’ve been dreaming of starting our family. Dreams of hearing tiny footsteps, reading bedtime stories, and sharing all the love we have with a child.
After countless doctor visits, tests, medications, and heartbreaks, we were diagnosed with severe infertility.
We’ve explored every option available to us, and after our most recent consultation, our doctor confirmed that IVF is our best, and only, real chance at having a child of our own. We believe in miracles, but we’re also doing our best to stay grounded and realistic.
As many of you know, IVF is not only emotionally and physically challenging, it’s also incredibly expensive. Each cycle can cost over $20,000, and unfortunately, our insurance does not cover any of it.
We’ve already spent hundreds of dollars pursuing our dream of becoming parents, and we’re emotionally drained. But we’re not giving up, because we know our greatest blessing is still ahead of us.
Asking for help and being vulnerable like this isn’t easy. We’ve gone back and forth about whether to share something so personal. However, this means more to us than our pride. IVF may be our one real chance to bring a child into the world through a lot of love, hope and support.
We know we won’t be perfect parents, but we will be present, patient, loving, and deeply committed. We’re ready to give a child everything we have and more.
