Hi, my name is Heather Beal, and I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my brother, Brandon Thaggard.
Brandon was recently hospitalized after developing a serious bacterial infection that quickly turned into sepsis and prostatitis. It was a sudden and scary experience, and while we’re incredibly grateful that he’s now stable and on the road to recovery, the journey ahead is going to be challenging—especially financially.
Brandon is a dedicated father and has always been the kind of person who takes care of others without asking for help himself. But right now, he’s going to be out of work for several weeks while he recovers, and the medical bills and medication costs are adding up quickly.
Even with insurance, his out-of-pocket cost for medication alone is $8,600, and the total cost of his hospital stay and ongoing treatment is estimated to reach $15,000.
We’re raising funds to help cover:
• Hospital bills from his recent emergency stay
• Life-saving medications not fully covered by insurance
• Basic living expenses while he is unable to work and care for his children
