Hello friends and family. I think most of you already know that I have been diagnosed with stage 3 Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma. I have been told that it has a high survival rate. Unfortunately, it is a 2.5 hour drive from home to see my doctors, get lab work, have surgery, etc.
I need to stay in Sacramento from June 23rd through June 30th for treatment. I will be receiving radioactive iodine treatment and I will then have to be in isolation to protect others. I will be getting a hotel room during that time. The cost for the hotel is ranging up to $700 and the cost for gas is around $100 each way. I will have other expenses for the hotel room as well. I have already had to stay in a hotel several times, twice being for both of my surgeries.
I haven’t been working for almost 3 years now and I have been living off of my savings. I would not be asking for this help if I were still employed.
