Hello, my name is Thomas Childers, I am 50 years old and I am a single father. I live in Kentucky, and today I turn to you with humility because I am going through a very difficult time.

I am fighting every day to move my children forward, but the economic situation has worsened so much that I no longer have the means to give them basic foods or cover the medications they need.

I never thought to have to ask for public help, but for my children I would do anything. It is not about luxuries or comforts, we just want to cover the most essential: food, medicines and a little stability.

With the proceeds, I can:

• Buy nutritious food for my children

• Cover medications and basic medical care

• Keep a decent home where you can feel safe
