Aid Nick’s Journey to Full Recovery

Hi all, Molly here. My younger brother Nick experienced a severe grease fire this past week and has been at the UW Burn Unit for 4 days. He had to be transferred by ambulance from Dodgeville ER to Madison on Tuesday night. Each of those days has been monitoring and cleaning his burns on his hands and forearms. His left hand and arm have sustained 2nd-degree burns, while his right hand and arm have sustained 3rd-degree burns. They are still monitoring if he will need surgery for skin grafts, and as of now, that is very likely, unfortunately. Which will only make for a longer recovery.

If you know Nick, you know he is an extremely hard worker and very driven. But, due to these circumstances, he is not able to work both his full-time job or his part-time job for at least a month. He is unable to use his hands and arms for anything right now, focusing only on recovery. Now he is not only out at least an entire month’s income but facing medical bills to be determined. Luckily, homeowners insurance will help with damages to his kitchen, but that’s as far as it goes.

I wanted to reach out and do this because he is faced with a very tough financial situation and could really use the support from his many communities. Like I said, he is a driven hard worker and always there to help others whenever needed. Now he needs help and would be extremely grateful for anything. If you have ever experienced a burn injury, you know how excruciating the pain is and how long the recovery process is as well. Especially with 3rd degree burns. We want him to be able to make a full recovery and go back to work as soon as possible! But he cannot go back to either of his jobs until he is at 100% once again. Please consider donating towards his medical bills and part of his missed income during this time of uncertainty. Thank you for your time and I appreciate all the support for my brother. Wishing him the best and fastest recovery.

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
