My son, Mathew Szychowicz, has just been diagnosed with Stage 4 Bladder Cancer that has spread to his lymph nodes. He has no insurance at this time. We tried through the marketplace, but because he hasn’t had insurance in the last 60 days, he is unable to get it.
He has had several appointments and scans done along with 3 biopsies.
Matt has 3 children that he has 50/50 custody of, and at this time, he is trying to keep things as normal as possible. He is unable to work much due to the pain and weakness, and the bills are adding up.
We are trying to navigate this and keep taking the next steps. There is so much paperwork to get done just so he can start his treatment. We will find out on the 19th what our next steps are medically.
Matt is always the first to volunteer to help everyone. It doesn’t matter if it is helping people move or using his truck. He tries to help out with gutters and driveways—anything that people need. He is definitely a giver. This is so hard for him to not be able to be that person.
We trust that God has this and know that He is able. We covet your prayers.
