Aid Juan: Stranded and Seeking Support

  • My name is Juan Marsh, 72 years old, had an open heart surgery in March because of a stroke spending a whole month in the hospital with a bypass, recuperating after being clinically deceased for 5 hours, connected to a pump. I had to learn how to walk, speak and concentrate with a lot of help from the hospital staff and kinesiology. Lost a lot of weight and my muscles, so now I am trying everyday to walk using a walker for my balance. I lived all my time in Camarillo, CA until evicted because the owner wanted to live there, ended with my son in Oakland but decided to go to visit my 2 daughters in Chile, who are studying there at the University. That’s when had the stroke, well I run out of money with the medical expenses, can not return to the States because the doctors will not authorize me flying until a full recovery and was totally abandoned by my 2 daughters and son who live in California. My Social Security is only $1.300 and covers the rent and expenses, which leaves me without food. Now my son and daughter want to sell all my belongings and van stored in Camarillo to send me that money, I don’t want to loose my memories and clothing and others, so that is why I am asking for donations.
