Hi! My name is Debbie. My daughter Danielle is a Special Education teacher who absolutely loves her job. She is also a wife and a wonderful mother of three children. In April of this year, she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). She has been going through chemotherapy, lumbar punctures, bone marrow biopsies, just to mention a few. Suffice it to say, she is going through hell. And thru it all, she has managed to keep a positive attitude 98% of the time. She is a beautiful and courageous women who is loved very dearly.
She just found out yesterday that she will not be able to return to work in September as she was hoping to. Disability will not nearly compensate what she would normally contribute to her household expenses, not to mention medical expenses and traveling back and forth for treatments to Memorial Sloan Kettering and/or her oncologist, both in NYC. She is told this process can continue for as long as two to three years. Please help a dedicated mother and teacher get through a very difficult time. Thank you…
