Hi, my name is Donna Coleman, and I’m fundraising on behalf of my dad, Billy Coleman — a kind, selfless man who has always put others before himself, and who now needs help facing the biggest challenges of his life.
We’ve recently received a series of devastating diagnoses:
Billy has skin cancer that may require the complete removal of his ear.
He also has multiple abdominal hernias that will need surgery.
And just recently, he was also diagnosed with severe Alzheimer’s and dementia.
To make sure he’s safe and properly cared for, my dad is now moving in with me and my family while we work to make his home livable and safe for his medical needs. As his primary caregiver, I will need to take time off work to be with him through his surgeries, recovery, and ongoing dementia care.
Billy has already faced so much loss. He lost his beloved wife in 2020, and just last year, he lost his other daughter to stage 4 lung cancer and all four of his brothers. Through it all, he’s stayed strong for everyone around him — the same way he’s always been. He’s helped raise children who weren’t even his and has been a rock for this family and anyone who’s ever needed him.
Now, he needs us.

Prescriptions and follow-up care
Lost wages while I care for him full-time
Ongoing Alzheimer’s and dementia support
